Health Belief Model and Determinants of Breast Self-examination Performance

Objectives: This study aimed at performing a path analysis to assess the parameters of health belief model concerning BSE. Methods: The present descriptive cross-sectional care center, affiliated with Islamic Azad University Tehran, Faculty Medicine in northwest Iran was conducted from May June 2018. champion’s HBM scale, breast cancer knowledge test assessed all participants. SPSS-22 and Lisrel-8.8 software, using statistical analysis, were used for analyzing data. Results: Totally, 225 women took part this study. mean BSE performance 0.53 ± 0.52. score BCKT had significant difference between women, who performed did not perform (P = 0.001). final good fit data collection. As result, self-effectiveness improved parameters. Also, perceived barriers, knowledge, educational level an association Conclusions: According results study, self-care behaviors could be increased by eliminating barriers increasing education as result women's knowledge.
